U.S. Representative Terri Sewell, D-Alabama, will join state and local leaders on Tuesday to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Alabama School of Healthcare Sciences, ASHS, in Demopolis. Slated to open in the fall of 2026, the school will become the fourth state-supported residential high school in Alabama and will be specifically dedicated to preparing Alabama students for careers in the healthcare industry.
