Lennox and Addington County members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two people with impaired driving related charges over the weekend.

On Friday October 10 , 2025, just after 7:00 p.m., L&A County OPP members were called regarding an assault complaint in Loyalist Township. During the investigation the suspect returned to the location and was arrested.

Aleena ZYLSTRA, a 36-year-old from Kingston, was charged with:

Assault – two counts

Utter threats to cause death – five counts

Assault a peace officer – three counts

Resist peace officer

Failure or refusal to comply with demand

The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee for a bail hearing on October 14 , 2025. Their driver’s licence was
