The Central government on Tuesday notified the transfer of three High Court judges, Justices Cheekati Manavendranath Roy, Donadi Ramesh, and Subhendu Samanta , to the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
Justice Cheekati Manavendranath Roy, who was serving at the Gujarat High Court, has been transferred back to the Andhra Pradesh High Court which is his parent High Court.
He was earlier a judge of the Andhra Pradesh High Court before his transfer to Gujarat in 2023. A third-generation lawyer from a traditional agricultural family, he practised in Parvathipuram and Vizianagaram between 1988 and 2002.
