The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) in NCR and adjoining areas has invoked Stage-I actions of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) following a significant dip in air quality across Delhi-NCR. This comes after the AQI in Delhi was recorded at 211 on 14th October 2025, placing it in the ‘Poor’ category.

Stage-I Actions Triggered Across NCR

In a meeting of the Sub-Committee on GRAP held on Monday, officials reviewed the air quality situation, along with forecasts provided by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) and IITM. The committee noted that the AQI is expected to remain in the ‘Poor’ category in the coming days. Based on this, the Sub-Committee decided to implement all actions under Stage-I (Poor Air Quality) of the GRAP schedule with immediate effect.
