INDIANAPOLIS — The Butler Bulldogs are welcoming back a familiar name to its staff.
Gordon Hayward, who played 14 years in the NBA and was a one-time All-Star, will volunteer his time in the newly-created position of executive basketball advisor.
Hayward will work alongside head coach Thad Matta, general manager/director of player personnel Tony Bollier and vice president/director of athletics Grant Leiendecker.
According to the news release, Hayward will use his NBA experience to advise on talent evaluation and recruitment, player development and team culture.
