In a significant breakthrough in the fight against drug trafficking, the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge NDPS, Srinagar, today convicted two notorious drug smugglers — Mudasir Sultan Bhat @ Majid, son of Mohd. Sultan, resident of Sir Syed Abad Sector-1 Bemina, Srinagar, and Feroz Ahmad Khan @ Jaja, son of Ab. Samad Khan, resident of Muslim Abad Nundareshi Colony, Bemina, Srinagar — in Case FIR No. 19/2021 U/S 8/22, 29 NDPS Act, 420, 468, 471 IPC of Police Station Crime Branch Kashmir (ANTF Kashmir).

The Hon’ble Court awarded 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of ₹1,00,000 each on the convicts.

The case was registered in 2021 by ANTF Kashmir, following the recovery of a huge consignment of contraband pharmaceutical drugs, including 7500 bottles of Z-REX syru
