Police in Lethbridge have charged a Calgary man with attempted murder after they say he intentionally hit multiple people he knew with his vehicle in a parking lot.

On Friday, Oct. 10, around 6:30 p.m., several calls were made to 911 reporting an incident in the parking lot of the Visitlethbridge.com Arena (formerly the Enmax Centre) along Scenic Drive South.

Callers indicated multiple pedestrians had been run over in the parking lot by a vehicle and two others were narrowly missed.

The driver left the scene before police got there.

Police say a 77-year-old woman, a 77-year-old man and 46-year-old man sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital in stable condition.
