On Oct. 18, folks here in Gillette will join people all across the country for the No Kings event — a peaceful, family-friendly gathering to remind our leaders that in America, power belongs to the people, not to any one person.

Many of us are worried that the current administration is acting more like the monarchy our founders once stood up against — ignoring the Constitution, brushing aside the Bill of Rights, and treating accountability like an inconvenience. That’s not what our country was built on. And that’s why we’re speaking up — not out of anger, but out of love for this nation and hope for its future.
