Newmarket (7-5-1-1) tied it 2:48 into the second period when Simon Wang scored from Alexander Semenstov and Noah Gaudet-Burton. They grabbed a brief lead with a power play goal from Reggie Taylor at 10:05 of the middle frame. Semenstov and Andrew Lanni assisted on the play.
