SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- The startling moment a gorilla slammed into the glass lining of his enclosure at the San Diego Zoo was caught on video.

A 10-year-old western lowland gorilla named Denny suddenly charged at the glass Saturday, according to zoo officials.

He damaged one layer of the three-layered tempered glass panel separating him from visitors. He was not hurt.

The zoo says both gorillas living in the forest habitat will be cared for behind the scenes until the panel is replaced.
