The 17,000-square-foot Williamsburg Community Centre opened its doors Tuesday in the Rosenburg area of Kitchener.

The new facility, at 200 Rosenburg Way, is expected to host more than 150 weekly recreational and fitness programs in two gymnasiums and four multi-purpose rooms.

The facility also offers free public Wi-Fi and access to computers with printing capabilities.

“This new community centre is a reflection of our commitment to building inclusive, accessible spaces where residents of all ages can come together and know they belong,” said Mayor Berry Vrbanovic in a statement.

“Williamsburg is a growing neighbourhood, and this facility not only reflects the residents here today but anticipates what this community will need for years to come.”
