Canadiens owner, president and CEO Geoff Molson announced Tuesday that Gorton and Hughes have agreed to five-year contract extensions. Both were in the final year of their contracts. Article content Article content

Gorton’s title will be changed from executive vice-president of hockey operations to president of hockey operations, while Hughes will remain in his role as general manager.
