CHINO HILLS, Calif. (WBTV) - A woman from North Carolina was kidnapped and allegedly tortured by two people before she was found outside a California shopping center this past weekend.

It was unknown exactly when the 51-year-old woman -- whose name was not given -- was allegedly kidnapped, but she was found on Saturday, Oct. 11, outside a Sephora makeup store in Chino Hills , Calif., which is a suburb of Los Angeles.

Chino Hills police said the woman and 28-year-old Rahson Govantes were loitering outside the store when authorities detained them. Law enforcement then found they had several fraudulent ID, social security and debit cards.
