A 65-year-old man struck by a vehicle while walking in Allentown has died of his injuries, according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.

Jerome F. Bauder, of Allentown, was hit about 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1 at the intersection of West Allen and North 15th streets, Coroner Daniel Buglio said.

Bauder was pronounced dead at 6:40 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Salisbury Township, Buglio said in a news release Tuesday.

The cause of death was complications of traumatic injuries due to the pedestrian-vehicle collision, and the manner of death was ruled an accident, Buglio said.

The driver stopped and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation into the crash, city police Assistant Chief Michael Becker told lehighvalleylive.com.
