Lions prepared to be without Branch, not holding out hope for suspension reversal

Allen Park — Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell would love to hear that the one-game suspension handed out to safety Brian Branch will be rescinded.

But as the team prepares to face the NFC-leading Tampa Bay Buccaneers on “Monday Night Football” next week, he’s not even letting his mind go there.

“If it happens, that’s a bonus,” Campbell said Tuesday. “Right now, I’m assuming he’s out and he’s not gonna win (the appeal).”
