Donna Adelson, the matriarch of a wealthy South Florida family was sentenced Monday to life in prison after she was convicted of first-degree murder, conspiracy and solicitation. Prosecutors said Adelson was the mastermind who orchestrated the killing of her former son-in-law, Daniel Markel. Markel was in a bitter custody battle with his ex-wife, Adelson’s daughter, when he was killed in 2014. Adelson has pledged to appeal. #cnn #news
