When Street Signs Turn Into Tongue-Twisters

Sure, we’ve got our share of easy, no-nonsense names – Main Street, anyone? – but Evansville also boasts plenty of head-scratchers. Some come from local history, others have roots in different languages, and a few just seem to have been created to test our pronunciation skills. Whatever the case, they’re part of what gives our city its charm and character.
