MICHIGAN, USA — It is no surprise - we continue to lose daylight at a fast rate.

In fact, West Michigan is losing nearly 3 minutes of daylight every single day!

This daylight loss impacts our sunrise and sunset times. Sunset continues to trend earlier and earlier in the evening.

However, over the next three weeks, it will be very noticeable.

Tonight marks the last 7 p.m. sunset in Grand Rapids until next March.

Those bright evenings will quickly turn into dark ones over the coming weeks, especially as the clocks fall back due to Daylight Saving Time ending on November 2.

West Michigan will no longer have a 7 p.m. sunset beyond October 16, at least until March. For Grand Rapids, the last 7 p.m. sunset is tonight, October 14.
