BENSONHURST — Despite the stormy weather, the 43rd annual Brooklyn Columbus Day Parade went off without a hitch, according to Vice Chair of the Federation of Italian-American Organizations of Brooklyn Frank Naccarato, organizers and sponsors of the event.

Naccarato, who is also a Maimonides Board of Trustees member and secretary, told the Brooklyn Eagle, “We’re from Brooklyn, so even with weather conditions being what they were, we had a great event as we do every year.”

After a morning mass at St. Athanasius Church, the parade, which took place on Oct. 11 at 1 p.m., began on 61st Street along 18th Avenue before concluding at the Il Centro Community Center.

This year’s grand marshals included Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso, Harry D’Onofrio of D’Onofrio General Contractors Co
