After Rico Dowdle torched the Miami Dolphins for 206 rushing yards in his first start in relief of the injured Chuba Hubbard for the Carolina Panthers , he warned the Dallas Cowboys he was coming for them next.
“They better buckle up,” he said of his Dallas – who let him leave in free agency this offseason – after the Panthers 27-24 win over Miami.
“They wasn’t buckled up,” Dowdle said after rushing for 183 yards and adding another 54 and a touchdown as a receiver to help keep the Panthers undefeated at home. The win also got the Panthers record to 3-3, marking the first time they’ve been .500 in after Week 6 since 2021. They’ll hope the rest of the season goes better than that one, when they finished 5-12 and last in the NFC South.
