Hip-hop pioneer Chuck D brings his powerful voice and message to Newark next month with a special spoken word performance as part of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center ’s “Social Justice Through Spoken Word” event.

A respected trailblazer at the forefront of the group Public Enemy, Chuck D helped shape the sound and social consciousness of hip-hop with anthems like “Fight the Power” and “Don’t Believe the Hype.” His Newark appearance promises an evening of thought-provoking commentary, cultural insight, and storytelling rooted in activism, music, and community empowerment.
