COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Franklin County judge extended a temporary restraining order blocking an executive order banning retailers from selling products with intoxicating hemp.
Gov. Mike DeWine signed the executive order earlier this month, which ordered retailers to remove their intoxicating hemp products by Oct. 14. Those who continued to sell the products would face a daily fine of $500 until the products were taken off the shelves.
Three Ohio businesses sued DeWine after he signed the order. The original restraining order granted by the judge lasted for 14 days, but is now extended until Dec. 2.
