Of course, what makes an area safe isn't so cut and dried — What's the crime rate? How safe are the roadways? How strong is the job market?

Personal finance company WalletHub recently released a study looking into the safest states in the country for 2025. Unfortunately, its analysis found the Show Me State to be one of the least safe states.
