LANSING, Mich. — Michigan marijuana sales plunged from August to September, chalking up the industry's biggest monthly downturn since January 2024.

Sales dropped from $283.3 million in August to $251.3 million in September, according to data from the Cannabis Regulatory Agency's monthly reports . That is an -11.3% change in sales, the largest since a -13.25% drop in sales from December 2023 to January of 2024.

September also marked the lowest month of sales since January and February of this year, however those months have had historically low monthly sales rates compared to other months since marijuana was legalized.

The price of an ounce of marijuana flower in September also rose by its largest amount month-over-month in just over two years. The price of an ounce was listed at $63.1
