VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office released body camera video revealing the arrest of a man wanted in connection with a Cocoa shooting that killed a 15-year-old girl and injured two others during a traffic stop on Interstate 4.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies noticed a vehicle traveling over 100 mph around 10 p.m. Saturday while weaving through traffic, prompting them to initiate a traffic stop.

Along with Jonterich Smith, 20, who had active warrants, the driver was arrested for violating the state’s “ Super Speeder ” law, deputies said.
Inside the vehicle, deputies found two firearms: a handgun with an extended magazine and an AR-15-style pistol.
