FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. — A man is dead after being held in police custody at the Forsyth County Detention Center, according to the State Bureau of Investigation.

The SBI says 68-year-old Gregory Lee Williams was reported dead on Oct. 10 by the Winston-Salem Fire Department. At the time of his death, Williams was being processed into the jail.

EMS was called to the scene to administer aid but ultimately declared Williams dead.

The SBI says it's continuing its investigation.
