Sydney Roosters star Aliyah Nasio will miss the start of next season after copping the biggest ban in NRLW history for punching Broncos centre Julia Robinson in the Grand Final.

Code Sports reported Nasio was hit with a four match ban for her part in the ugly melee that marred the end of the Broncos’ NRLW Grand Final win over the Roosters.

The suspension equals the longest ban handed down to an NRLW player, with Eels forward Kennedy Cherrington given the same punishment for a spear tackle in 2023.

On Tuesday night at the Judiciary Nasio pleaded guilty to striking Robinson, but failed in her bid to have the charge downgraded from grade three.

Nasio argued she retaliated in fear after being surrounded by seven Broncos players during the scuffle as the siren sounded in the decider.
