Two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle on West 16th Avenue and Willow Street in Vancouver.

Police say the incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

The two pedestrians were taken to the hospital. Police did not specify their injuries.

Images from the crash scene show that the vehicle, a grey SUV, was traveling eastbound on West 16th Avenue.

The intersection remains closed for as long as officers from the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) are on scene and investigating the crash.

The VPD recommends using West 12th Avenue as an alternative.
