NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The old Donelson Library location has been sitting empty since 2024 with no plans for its future coming to fruition—until now.

It may soon by home to a Nashville TV network.

Since the Donelson Library branch moved into a new building, former Metro Councilmember Jeff Syracuse said he's been working to preserve the former library branch building. Syracuse used to represent the neighborhood on the Metro Council, and he said the former library building could meet a significant need for NECAT Network.

NECAT is a public arts and educational programming network that exists to teach people how to create and produce television shows. They've been operating on Nashville State's campus on White Bridge Road, but the school needs more space as it continues to grow.
