In celebration of Mural Arts Month, Mural Arts Philadelphia is hosting a panel featuring multiple Philadelphia-based LGBTQ+ artists that will highlight the importance, power and beauty of queer art, particularly in public spaces.

On Oct. 30, speakers Nilé Livingston, Chris Bartlett, Rami George and Chelsey Luster, along with moderator Conrad Benner, will share their insights on queer art and queer joy during a panel titled “Love, Tribute, Joy: Voices from the Philly LGBTQ+ Arts Scene.”

Regarding the importance of this panel now, Benner shared, “We’re at a time where there are places and people who are trying to remove LGBTQ people and their stories from the public space, so this panel will include people who are, in their life’s work, doing the opposite.”
