The City of Belleville has announced the signing of another new doctor through its physician recruitment program.

Dr. Mankaran Singh is currently completing his residency training in Belleville through Queen’s University and is expected to start practicing medicine in Belleville as early as the fall of 2027.

City council approved executing a bylaw allowing for the signing of the doctor at its meeting on Tuesday.

“We are so pleased to welcome Dr. Singh to the Belleville Family Physician Recruitment Program,” said Mayor Neil Ellis in a press release.

“Dr. Singh’s arrival underscores the City’s commitment to enhancing local healthcare services by attracting much-needed medical professionals. We look forward to the positive impact that he will have on the community.”
