Brantford Bulldogs captain Jake O’Brien has been named the Cogeco OHL player of the week.
O’Brien scored four goal and added four assists last week as the Bulldogs (6-0-1-1) earned three wins.
Held scoreless against Niagara last Thursday in a 7-4 win, O’Brien scored a goal and added two assists in a 6-0 win against Sudbury on Friday. He followed that up with a hat-trick and two assists in an 8-5 win on Sunday against Ottawa.
The five points in one game matched a career high for O’Brien, who was selected eighth overall by the Seattle Kraken in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.
O’Brien is now second in OHL scoring with 13 points (5G, 8A) and is a plus-11. He also passed Cole Brown for seventh all-time in Bulldogs scoring history (50G, 125A, 133GP).
