ORONO, Maine (WABI) -The Maine Men’s Hockey team is coming off a weekend sweep of Holy Cross. But now their attention turns to number 10 Quinnipiac.
When these teams meet this upcoming weekend it’ll be nearly a year to the date since they last squared off.
Last year Maine got the sweep at home but they’ll be in hostile territory for their upcoming two game series.
Coach Barr said that this Bobcat squad is skilled, fast, structured and that they never have any weaknesses.
He says that a challenge for Maine this weekend will be getting the puck into the offensive zone.
Maine’s captain Thomas Freel said the Black Bears are set to face one of the best programs in college hockey.
“They’re a very skilled team, very well structured, obviously, winning a national championship two years ago.
