HOUSTON – Although the federal government is shut down, organizers of the Wings Over Houston Airshow (WOHA) say the show will still go on at Ellington Airport next weekend, October 18–19.
The shutdown is expected to affect military participation, including the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds , who are unable to perform or appear as long as the shutdown continues.

“That does mean our military men and women who were supposed to come and fly or be on display are not allowed,” said Natasha Avey, Operations Manager for WOHA. “We’re still having a great show. We’re able to do that with our civilian aerobatic pilots.”
