For the 15th year in a row, Louisville women's basketball is in the AP Top 25 preseason rankings, earning the No. 20 spot Tuesday.
The Cardinals' lowest preseason ranking during that time was 23rd ahead of the 2009-10 campaign, and their highest was the No. 5 spot to start each of the 2013-14, 2016-17, 2018-19 and 2020-21 seasons. Last year, Louisville opened the season ranked 17th but fell out of the AP Top 25 after back-to-back losses to Oklahoma and UConn on Dec. 4 and 7, respectively.
