Apple TV+ is subtracting the plus sign from its name.
So, it’ll now be known as just Apple TV.
That’s it.
What a huge change that was.
The move is part of an effort to rebrand the six-year-old streaming service, which coincidentally bears the same name as its connected smart TV device product and app.
The tech giant indiscreetly revealed the big news Monday in a press release that announced the streaming debut for its hugely successful “ F1: The Movie ,” stating: “Apple TV+ is now simply Apple TV, with a vibrant, new identity.”
Now the company’s streaming service, app and device all tote the same name.
Apple TV+ launched in November 2019 and has had a slew of successful original shows starring A-list talent, such as “The Morning Show,” “Your Friends and Neighbors,” “Ted Lasso,”
