Relatives of newly released Israeli hostages described their feelings of relief and joy of being reunited with their loved ones after two years of captivity in Gaza on Tuesday.

Speaking at the Sheba Medical Center in Tel Aviv where the freed captives are receiving medical treatment, the brother of Ziv and Gali Berman, Liran Berman, said hugging them again was the end of being "trapped between hope and fear."

Rebecca Bohbot, the wife of Elkana Bohbot, said her husband had been underfed in recent months.

They were among the last living 20 hostages returned to Israel on Monday.

This was part of the current ceasefire between Israel and Hamas which also includes the release of hundreds of Palestinians detained in Israeli prisons.

Four deceased hostages were returned to Israel on Monday, and another 24 are supposed to be turned over as part of the first phase of the ceasefire, which also requires Israel to allow a surge of food and other humanitarian aid into Gaza.
