The Central Coast saw its first major rain of the season overnight Monday into Tuesday, which more than an inch of precipition in most places, tornado and evacuation warnings, but only isolated flooding and no reported damage.

Scattered showers lingered throughout the day Tuesday, after the potent cold front dropped 1.45 inches of rain in Santa Maria over a 24-hour period ending 8 a.m. Lompoc measured 1.07 inches and Santa Ynez reported 1.57 inches, according to the Santa Barbara County Flood Control District.

The drenching brought the county to 433% of its normal-to-date rainfall.

The highest totals were recorded at San Marcos Pass (2.23 inches), Cachuma Dam (1.76 inches) and Figueroa Mountain (1.73 inches).
