Jason Kidd is staying in Dallas.
The Mavericks head coach agreed on a multiyear contract extension with the franchise, according to NBA insider Marc Stein . Full details of the extension are not known.
The 10-time NBA All-Star has been the head coach in Dallas for four seasons, going 179-149 while leading the Mavericks to the 2024 NBA Finals and the 2022 Western Conference Finals.

In July, Stein reported that Kidd was “expected” to sign an extension with the Mavericks before the 2025-26 NBA season.
Although it isn’t clear how many extra years Kidd is getting, he had two years remaining on his previous contract before the new deal
