The four candidates running for Syracuse mayor this fall met Tuesday for the first televised debate in the race.
Democrat Sharon Owens, Republican Tom Babilon and independent candidates Tim Rudd and Alfonso Davis took turns answering questions from a panel of moderators. Topics included housing, the Trump administration, police staffing, city schools and property tax assessments, among other items.
WCNY and syracuse.com hosted the debate at the WCNY headquarters in downtown Syracuse.
The debate airs at 8 p.m. Tuesday on WCNY .
