Adelita Grijalva, who won a special election for a House seat last month, has not yet been sworn in as a member of Congress. Today in Washington D.C. a number of lawmakers held a protest, demanding that Rep.-elect Grijalva (D-AZ) be sworn in by Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson. The government remains shut down, and Speaker Mike Johnson says until the Senate comes back with a budget, the House will not be in session.
