ST. PAUL, Minn. (GRAY) – Minnesota’s Secretary of State, Steve Simon, went before the Minnesota House Fraud Committee on Tuesday morning, testifying about a case of voter registration fraud that was charged this past June.

Several months ago, the U.S. Attorney announced charges against two Nevada residents who’d allegedly committed voter registration fraud during the 2022 election cycle.

The pair is said to have submitted several fraudulent voter registrations, using the fraudulent submissions to collect money from a foundation that encourages voters to register.

“This is a case about individuals who conspired to submit false voter registration applications,” said Simon. “This is not a case about fraudulent votes.”
