OGDEN — An Ogden man has been charged with drug trafficking after police say they discovered more than 2,000 fentanyl pills in his motel room.

Agents with the Weber-Morgan Narcotics Strike Force executed a search warrant on Friday at Ramdy Erasto Gomez's Ogden motel room. There, they discovered 4 ounces of methamphetamine, more than 2,000 fentanyl pills and "a large amount" of cash, according to a police booking affidavit in the case.

Prosecutors in Weber County charged the man in 2nd District Court with trafficking fentanyl and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, first-degree felonies. He's also charged with money laundering, a second-degree felony.
