EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — UTEP football heads to Houston on Wednesday night with a chance to end its losing ways.

The Miners (1-5, 0-2 CUSA) will face a winless Sam Houston squad (0-6, 0-3 CUSA) at Shell Energy Stadium, as both programs continue searching for their first FBS win of the year.

UTEP’s lone victory came over FCS opponent UT Martin back on September 6th. Since then, the Miners have lost four straight, dropping games to Texas, ULM, LA Tech, Liberty — all while battling injuries and offensive inconsistency.
