Kai McGrew was originally granted limited eligibility from IHSAA after transfer from Lawrence North to Fishers
Kai McGrew has full athletic eligibility to play his senior year of high school basketball.
The 6-foot-9 McGrew, one of the state’s top players, transferred from Lawrence North to Fishers after his junior season. McGrew was originally granted only limited eligibility from the Indiana High School Athletic Association and again on the first appeal.
On Tuesday, the Department of Education Case Review Panel overturned the decision, a source confirmed. McGrew will have full eligibility at the start of the season.
McGrew, who averaged 14.5 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists as a junior at Lawrence North, enrolled at Fishers on April 22, which was before the new IHSAA transfer rule
