Folk and Devotional Singer Maithli Thakur joins BJP, likely to contest from Alinagar seat

New Delhi/Patna, October 15, 2025: Folk and Devotional Singer Maithli Thakur has joined BJP. She is likely to be fielded from Alinagar seat in Darbhanga district.

She was earlier honoured by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
