It's a milestone year for The Clovies.

Surrey’s most prestigious business awards are turning 10. Having now been around for a decade, Cloverdale District Chamber of Commerce executive director Scott Wheatley said the milestone offers a chance to look back and ahead.

“I think we've come a long way,” Wheatley told the Cloverdale Reporter, as he reflected on both the awards and his tenure running the Chamber.

Wheatley, who’s only been a part of the Clovies for the last six years, said the foundation for the awards has now been firmly set.

“It takes a while for things to be established," he explained. “There’s always growing pains. There’s always a process. When you look back you see it.”

He said the historic list of winners is “very interesting.” He n
