ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The City of St. Charles and the county came to an agreement on Tuesday to transfer ownership of the city’s current City Hall to St. Charles County.

The county states that the purchase of the building will alleviate overcrowding in the circuit court.

St. Charles City will receive more than $4 million from the county for a project on Main Street and $7 million for streets along the “Riverpointe District.”

Both the city and county are set to sign the agreement on Wednesday.
