A State Emergency Service superintendent has told an inquest into the deadly 2022 Eugowra flooding that information from the Bureau of Meteorology was "inadequate".
SES chief superintendent Brigid Rice said hazard warnings issued by the BOM in the lead-up to the disaster did not reflect the reality of the situation on the ground.
The inquest is investigating the circumstances around the deaths of Les Vugec, 85, and Diane Smith, 60, who were swept away by a so-called "inland tsunami" that hit the central west NSW town in November 2022.
