Two people were found dead after an apparent murder-suicide at a La Habra restaurant Tuesday evening, authorities said.

Officers responded around 6:43 p.m. to reports of gunfire at Gui Gui Korean BBQ in the 1200 block of West Imperial Highway, according to the La Habra Police Department. Inside the restaurant, officers found a man and a woman suffering from significant injuries.

Paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department pronounced both dead at the scene.

Based on preliminary information, the shooting appears to be a murder-suicide, police said. Investigators do not believe there are any outstanding suspects and said there is no known threat to the public.

The names of the man and woman are being withheld pending notification of relatives.
